Founder and President

Ronald D. Torretti is Founder and President of Turris Group, Inc., with more than five decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity and executive leadership. His career combines advising closely held and middle-market companies with firsthand experience founding, acquiring, operating and selling businesses, which gives him a practical understanding of both the financial complexity and the personal considerations behind an owner’s most consequential decisions.

At Turris he advises owners on acquisitions, company sales, recapitalizations, succession planning, management buyouts and alternative financing, across the full transaction: valuation and preparation for sale, buyer identification, controlled auctions, negotiation, due diligence and closing. He also helps owners decide whether to retain, grow, recapitalize or sell, and aligns that decision with shareholder priorities and long-term succession objectives.

Founder and President, Turris Group, Inc. Since 2020, also a Managing Director at Cross Keys Capital, focused on sell-side representation for middle-market business owners.
Advisory career
Co-founded and led Mid-Atlantic Companies, Ltd., building it into a national financial services organization of fifteen offices and more than 100 professionals across investment banking, M&A, finance, valuation, law, tax, accounting and actuarial disciplines, serving hundreds of companies nationwide. Developed its expansion strategy and led its sale to First Union National Bank, now Wells Fargo, then served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of First Business Advisors, the division dedicated to valuation, succession, sales and recapitalization for closely held business owners.
Operating career
President of NW Sign Industries, which he grew organically and through targeted acquisitions before leading its sale to Landmark Partners. Chief Executive Officer of Titan Tools International, an international tooling company serving the oil and gas industry, with full profit-and-loss responsibility across manufacturing, distribution and international sales, through its strategic sale to Chicago Pneumatic and the ownership transition.
Ventures
Founded Direct Capital Partners, a private equity group backed by Transamerica Business Credit, and established a broker-dealer licensed in 48 states and a registered investment advisory business.

Michael Williams

Managing Director

Michael Williams is Managing Director of Turris Group, Inc. and the founder of a technology company, with experience across M&A advisory, real estate finance, artificial intelligence, product development and business operations. At Turris he works with owners and leadership teams on acquisition and exit opportunities, supporting deal development and client relationships. His background in finance and technology informs how he reads a company: which operational improvements and which technology adoption would strengthen it and support its long-term value.

As a founder he has taken mobile products from concept and product strategy through user experience, development coordination, testing and launch, connecting what customers need to what the technology must do. His work in AI implementation covers identifying where automation pays, designing AI-assisted workflows, and coordinating specialized AI agents across research, software development and business operations, with a practical focus on how increasingly capable systems, including emerging superintelligence, can support decision-making, accelerate product development and improve business processes.
